FAQ

Q. If I am currently enrolled in a class, do I need to re-enroll? YES. Due to the schedule changes and new class options (see schedules below), I have ended ALL ongoing subscription enrollments. Your credit card will no longer be automatically charged.

Q. What are class sizes now?
A. BEFORE COVID, Kindermusik had and still has a class size maximum of 12 children. Now, in accordance with CDC guidelines and recommendations, a maximum of 6 families will be INDOORS per class and have a 4x6 ft space as their own “music space” inside. (If and when a larger indoor space at the church location becomes available, I will add more families ONLY to the point where everyone has AT LEAST the recommended 6’ of space between each other.)
OUTDOOR CLASSES will have up to 8 -10 families physically distanced AT LEAST 6’ from each other.

Q. Will I or my child have to wear a mask? 😷

“CDC recommends that everyone 2 years and older wear a cloth face covering that covers their nose and mouth when they are out in the community. “ “Based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material, or holes, are not acceptable alternatives.”

Music with Ms. Dee is able to safely stay open at this time because wearing masks significantly limits the spread of COVID-19. There are NO health risks for wearing a mask for a 45 minute class. If your health does not allow you to wear a mask at this time, I invite you to take advantage of my online classes. πŸŽΆπŸ’»πŸ–₯πŸ˜ƒβœ…

A. Indoor classes will require everyone over the age of two yrs to wear a mask at ALL times.
Outdoor classes will require everyone 2 yrs and older to wear masks upon entry. Once you arrive at your “music spot,” you may remove your child’s mask. If you need to leave your “music spot,” or will be closer than 6’ from others, PLEASE PUT YOUR MASK ON. 😷 βœ…
(Be advised that IF all participants are in their place, and I, Ms. Dee, am physically distanced at least 12 ft away, I MAY remove my mask at times while teaching. I will wear a face shield.)

Q. How many adults can attend class?
A. Due to limited space and restrictions, ONLY 1 adult per child will be admitted into the teaching space for BOTH indoor and outdoor classes. If anyone else comes, they MUST wait in your vehicle, or run errands until your class is over.

Q. Are there restrooms or changing tables available now?
A. Outdoor classes will NOT have access to the inside of the building. We encourage you go before you arrive. It might be helpful to think of your class as a 45 - minute trip to a park or the beach. πŸ™‚

Q. What other precautions are being taken?
A. Daily health screenings and contact free temperature checks will be required for myself and ALL participants prior to entering the teaching space for BOTH indoor AND outdoor classes. If a family member is not feeling well, has or had a temperature greater than 100.4’ within the past 2 days, or is exhibiting ANY symptoms which may be associated with COVID-19, they are encouraged to stay home and get well. Otherwise, they may be asked to leave the property.
B. Materials for class and all touch points will be disinfected and cleaned prior to each class.  To eliminate close contact, each family will have the option to use their own purchased set of materials during class which are included in your enrollment, OR to use the materials that will be provided by me in their own personal instrument container: e.g., an egg shaker and a scarf.
C. All close contact activities have been eliminated.  Only interaction between you and your child is encouraged.

Q. What is a health screening?
A. You and I may NOT enter the building or attend an outdoor class if you, your child, or I can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Have you been in close contact with any person with a confirmed case of COVID-19?

  • Are you experiencing a cough, any shortness of breath or a sore throat?

  • Have you experienced any recent loss of taste or smell?

  • Have you experienced any vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24 hours?

  • Do you have thick nasal discharge?

  • Have you had a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit today or within the last 48 hours?

If you answer YES to any of the above, you will not be allowed to enter the building or teaching space  classroom, but rather you will be encouraged to give consideration to contacting your health provider. You may always enroll in an online class.

Q. What about the weather and class cancellations?
A. In the event that your class cannot be held outside on a particular day due to inclement weather, OR class has to be cancelled due to teacher sickness or an emergency, you will be notified of the class cancellation ASAP via email πŸ“§.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL! A Virtual Make Up Class option will be provided.

Q. Are there make up classes for classes I miss?
A. Due to limited class sizes and restrictions, there are NO make up classes for missed in - person classes. An online make up class may be offered as a courtesy. There are NO refunds or credits given for classes missed as you pay for classes offered and not for classes attended. NO exceptions.

Q. What if a class is FULL?
A. If a class fills to capacity, a wait list will be started on a first contact/first serve basis. This can be done be emailing me your desired class day and time. πŸ“§
I will send your wait list confirmation via email, and contact you as soon as a spot is available.

Q. Will more classes be offered in the FALL?
A. Yes! God willing! πŸ™πŸΎπŸ˜Š If things continue to go smoothly and safely, then a new schedule and registration for new October classes will go live SOON.

Q. Are there any classes Thanksgiving week?
A. There are NO classes (in-person or virtual) the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, spring break, and the week of July 4th. There may be in-person and/or virtual play dates offered if time allows.)

Q. Is there anything else?
A. A completed and signed digital waiver is required for EACH family PRIOR to coming to your first class.
BSince NO refunds will be issued once enrollment is completed online, please be sure to read ALL of the above information carefully FIRST, and reference the website for more detailed information about the indoor/outdoor classes, and the changes and updated policies now in place to make everyone’s experience as healthy as possible.

I understand that even with physically distanced indoor classes, spacious outdoor classes, and virtual classes, times are still challenging and options may not work for everyone right now. Please know that I WILL offer more options as soon as the options are available to me.  I also understand that this is a lot to read through and consider, but the health and well-being of our Kindermusik community remains a top priority. Your compliance and cooperation is greatly appreciated as we all navigate these challenges and changes. Your patience is HUGE and SO appreciated as we all venture forward together! Thank you!
